They trap us with their words and make sure they seal us tight.
They trap us with each others hate and make us choose which one is right.
They resurrected the dead and recount all their dark past deeds.
Reopening up all the old wounds to see how much they’ll bleed.
They cannot let us love them both, oh, no, we must choose between.
They blame us for the things they’ve done and for all the things we’ve seen.
And when impossible to hold unto us any longer, we break free at last.
But, we stumble along unable to see, daunted by the future and blinded by the past.
